Description

Flynn appears to be a fairly average body type as far as foxes go. He has a really floofy tail and fur, large fox ears, and a thin muzzle (Compared to other canines). His fur colors and patterns can change at will, but normally he defaults to orange-and black standard. His feet are digitigrade.

History

When Flynn was first born, he seemed almost normal. That diagnosis didn’t last very long.

The first sign of something strange about Flynn was before he even left the nursery. One of the electronic toys that his parents had bought for him suddenly gained the ability to shoot things at their pet (feral/non-anthro/dumb) cat whenever it started yowling for attention in his nursery. Not remarkably accurately, but enough to get the cat to scamper off.

When his family learned that it was the toy and not Flynn throwing things at the cat, they quickly learned not to leave toys around that could easily be modified into anything dangerous. They forgot to relay these instructions to the kindergarten he went to, leaving the entire faculty puzzled as to why the RC cars stopped working while the toy robots suddenly started moving when the remotes were activated. The robots even seemed to be getting incrementally better as the year went by, to the point where they could transform into cars and were suddenly waging wars when everyone was gone for the night. All the while, electronics were mysteriously disappearing all around the elementary school.

Eventually, the staff did figure out Flynn was behind it all and his parents admitted that they were hoping the kindergarten lacked the toys Flynn could modify significantly. The school and his parents worked to find a more constructive outlet for his “creative tendencies” and managed to get him in a setup where if anything he built gained sentience, they could destroy it before it developed violent behaviors.

This setup lasted well enough, with only a few incidents of rampant technology. When he reached high school, things changed. As he hit puberty, his skills grew even more, as he began to make things that grew even stranger. His first major invention of this sort was the “Quantum baconator,” which could turn any food placed inside to an equal mass of strips of bacon. After a significant amount of begging, he was able to convince his parents to get him a car, which he promised not to make sentient. He kept his promise, but he did still modify it to the point where it could grow legs and walk over stalled traffic, while being careful to make sure it remained street legal.

His car was temporarily confiscated as punishment, however, after the incident in the Home-economics class, where when trying to cook, he accidentally made muffins that would try and resist being eaten, sometimes violently. Several nasty bites and scratches later, he was removed from the class with a failing grade, much to his displeasure.

He managed the rest of high school without seriously injuring anyone. Near the end of high school during a summer vacation, he was recruited into helping trying to help paint a building. Not content with just paint, he had to knock it up a notch. Long story short, several tries later, he would up with his current fireproof and color changing abilities. Because seriously, who wouldn’t want paint that was able to change color with a thought, fireproof, permanent, AND non-toxic?

When he left for college, he made sure not to burn the dorms down, but he still nonetheless made several buildings have to be decontaminated and later set up the College Fighting Robot team. With some help from a seamstress, he also made his infinitely configurable puppets, and sold the material they were made of to a clothing company, which began marketing clothes that could change on demand. Flynn never bought any, but the income from that and other inventions made him able to live comfortably before being migrated in.

Homeworld

A terran planet a big larger than earth, but less dense, resulting in the same surface gravity. There are humans, furries, and scalies. There are some phenomenon that seem to defy reason, but whether they are actual magic is subject to debate. There’s no training, spells, incantations, or rituals involved, but there are a number of individuals (Like Flynn) that seem to have special talents that elude others no matter how much they learn.

Powers

Mad Science

He has a strange, almost supernatural affinity for making gadgets, devices and machines that can do all kinds of silly, fantastic, or astounding things. However, upon inspection, there doesn’t appear to be anything magical or psychic about it. Everything he does must be reasonably capable of operating within physics.

For example, he couldn't turn someone into a living skeleton since they would have no way of moving their bones. However, he could turn everything except their skeleton invisible.

He is also strongly limited by the technology available for use, as well as materials. With Infinitas style materials, he is likely to be relying on duct tape and gum to hold things together, limiting their useful life.

Fireproof

His fur and skin is almost completely impossible to ignite by normal means, and his internal organs don’t seem to mind the heat either.

This does not apply to clothes or things he’s holding, it doesn’t make him immune to bullets. There are temperatures that can burn him, usually from plasma, laser, or other directed energy weapons. Taking a dip in molten lava also would be bad for him.

Fur color shifting

He has the strange ability to change his fur pattern at will.
Not to the degree that he could make himself invisible, but he could say, make himself green with stripes to hide better in some bushes.
